The mission of the Forest Heights Elementary Library Media Center is to prepare students to be effective users of information and to be life-long learners and readers.

This mission will be accomplished by:

• Working collaboratively with staff to develop educational strategies to meet student information needs
• Providing access to informational materials in a variety of formats
• Supporting the school's curriculum and spearheading reading initiatives
• Providing information literacy instruction
• Stimulating interest in reading and in locating and using information
• Promoting student and faculty utilization of the library media center
